Contributors Sessions

It's your platform... Show up!

Where teamwork is born

We gather about a set topic and identify practical ways to improve the service and content on that topic.
Sessions are an invitation to all users to participate and possibly build relationships with each other or step into deeper involvement.

The team

We assemble people who...
1/ have something to say on the topic, and
2/ are available at the suggested time.
All session teams are formed ad hoc, those sessions are a way to meet people who also care.
We keep groups small (20 max), to support participation and achievement of some resolution.

The topic

The organiser schedules a session when the topic is "ripe"... Either the production as reached a certain point, or there is a lot of demand aka. feedback, or the development needs inputs or to gauge its direction.
We aim to keep the meeting focused and contained, and that requires tight and clear scope for the session.

The schedule

We aim to schedule one session a day, 5 days a week, depending on needs and facilitator availability, at various times to give more people a chance.

For the time being, we prefer being nimble and schedule no more than 3 days in advance. That said, you can see queued topics and sign up for those to be notified when they do get scheduled.

Notification

We send notifications strictly to people who want them
- to people who have submitted "something wrong" feedback connected to the topic and provided their contact details for follow-up
- to people who have signed-up for the said topic.

Participation

Simply pick a scheduled session or a queued topic, and sign up.
We expect you to have something to contribute on the said topic, such as a personal experience, expert knowledge or corrective suggestions.
Exposing problems is welcome —it may even be the point— IF you are coming to help us solve them, not whine or blame.

Suggesting topics

The most direct way to do this is to go to the relevant page and hit "something wrong" in the footer... Don't be shy, if it can be better, then it is at least a little wrong ;)
Do specify what can be improved and leave a comment. This helps with setting a tight topic for a session.
If there is no relevant page, you can use the contact form, and if we're thinking like you, we'll be in touch !
